Gsync screen flickering
running arch linux on kde with wayland, trying to findout how to disable the gsync option to see if that stops my LG Ultragear monitor from flickering. I noticed that ever since I switched to linux, my screen has a weird screen flicker, like white lines that pop up here and there, and some days it's really bad.

Arc Raiders Frame gen issue
Hello my friends, I am seeking help until I get answered on main github support for Valve/Proton, it seems like on Arc Raiders, Frame Gen button won't appear, neither DLSS as grayed out or FSR3 which should be possible.
I have a Zephyrus G14 2020 GA401IV Which is muxless, meaning I'm mainly running on Optimus.
I tried every single variable possible for launch commands, including trying Gamescope, prime-run, and I tried using Losless Scaling, which is not really designed for multiplayer games.
I will link my issue on Github (They removed it because there's an existing issue for arc raiders already) + the whole logs area on that issue.
IF anyone got a clue if its my dual GPU's or its actually just proton issue, and got a clue if its something that is repairable on my side, let me know, its bugging me because frame gen on this game is solid good.

better gaming perf
Games with launchers will not launch on my cashyos system.
So I've been trying to launch Warframe and a couple of other games on cashios and I've tried different proton versions. I've tried reinstalling the game I've tried running steam through the terminal I just don't understand what's going on it gets to the end of using the launcher and then I hit play on the launcher and then the game just fizzles any help would be appreciated
Edit: My system specs are Intel i-7 6700 Nvidia G-Force 1070 Ram 16 gigs

Keyboard is stuck at 200hz polling rate when its supposed to work at 1000hz
I have a Drunkdeer A75 keyboard, it used to work just fine at 1000hz pollrate until a few days ago where it started working at 200hz for aparently no reason. For all I know this shouldnt be a keyboard or firmware issue since it should be something like 125/250hz and I updated the keyboard firmware a few days ago to try and fix it.
Other info to help with the issue:
- The keyboard is connected through a usb hub to my laptop but connecting directly doesnt love the issue.
- The laptops builtin keyboard also works at 200hz but I dont know if it should be 1000hz 125hz or anything else
- I tried a lot of the stuff recommended for mouse on the wiki but didnt help
- I am running arch linux
The keyboard could be running at 100hz instead of 200hz but from my personal feel on geometry dash (very scientific i know) seems to be 200hz. Thanks to anyone that helps with something

Very poor performance in Minecraft compared with Windows.
`inxi -xxACGS` output here.
More or less as title says. Getting absolutely abyssmal performance in Minecraft when compared with Windows. Same modpack, same server, same world, same everything.
Under Windows I'm typically getting around 120-140fps with shaders turned ON. Under Manjaro, I'm lucky to get around 80 with shaders turned OFF.
I'm even using Temurin JRE in both environments, but openjdk performs almost exactly the same. Nothing is thermal throttling, and my GPU is barely doing anything it seems, sitting at around 20-30% usage and only pulling back about 100W, where in Windows its sitting at 100% usage and pulling well north of 300W.
I'm even getting worse performance now with the same CPU (14600KF) and a better GPU (7900 XTX) than I was getting with my old card (6750 XT). I've tried using gamemode, CPU governor changed to performance and GPU set to maximum performance in LACT. I'm at a total loss as to what could be causing this performance discrepancy.

Fixing dynamic resolution switching in docker-steam-headless
I recently fixed dynamic resolution switching for docker-steam-headless with Sunshine + Moonlight and packaged it into a small reusable overlay.
The issue was that X11 framebuffer size and XRandR output mode could desync when switching between different aspect ratios, which caused black borders and weird scaling depending on the Moonlight client.
I also wrote a blog post explaining the whole debugging process, the XRandR quirks, why some approaches failed, and how the final solution works:

8bitdo Pro 3
Well, I have an 8BitDo Pro 3 and I use Arch on a B650M-E WiFi. I’ve never been able to get the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi working properly on this board, even with the antenna plugged in, so I usually play using the dongle. But since yesterday, the dongle keeps going into a connection loop whenever the controller is on. I’ll leave some logs below for you guys to take a look at:

Urgent Help need on serious issue
Recently I was searching anime app that i could use to watch on linux. Well I found one called nipah anime and dowloaded a Appimage file, but while opening the application i get the option of creating/restoring disk image (I am totally new to linux and unaware of this thing), I thought it would just create some kind of app in the drive i selected. After clicking on restore disk image Next thing you known, my drive is unmounted and filesystem shows as unknown and I dont know what do i do? I didn't format the partition, I tried using testdrive for recovery but nothing seem to help restore the files. This drive contained all the photos and videos of my childhood and many more. Please Help me as i have no knowledge about the Linux. This guilt is weighing me down. The file size was around 200GB.

Account safety concerns for Genshin and similar games on Linux?
Finlay did the switch to Linux, I'm both new and inexperienced, a lovely combo.
I know in the past I've seen rumors about potential account bans, mostly not concerned except for Genshin as wife and I have placed since 1.0 and losing that would be devastating. But i also believe I've seen it claimed safe, long as there no file tampering, and that the bans that did happen was cause of a Linux & cheating combo.
I got the game up and running. Haven't done any file tampering, just used Steam and the latest version of DW-Proton. Ill take any insight in the matter, and if there's any thing i can do to reduce risk then id love to hear it :)

[Lutris][CachyOS] Assassin's Creed Brotherhood launch issues
Hi,
I installed Assassin's Creed Brotherhood via Ubisoft Connect in Lutris (no Steam involved).
Brotherhood is one of those old Ubisoft games which now require you to enter your password every time you launch it. But launching the game in the Lutris library itself (i.e. not starting any launcher beforehand), it asks me to enter my Ubi password, and then just opens the Connect App and stops.
Then, trying to run the game from within the opened Connect App, it just restarts the App. The same happens when starting Connect itself directly via Lutris and trying to run the game from there. It just closes and opens up again.
What could cause this? I suspect it's something related to this weird password prompt, which I remember was also there on Windows. I got both AC II and Anno 1602 working on Linux using the Connect App, and they don't have this password check.
I'm using default CachyOS on Wayland and the latest Lutris and GE-Proton10-34.
Thanks!
PS: Lutris logs when launching the game via its library: https://pastebin.com/tkHWi9my (but nothing prints when the launch fails)

Mesa 26.0.6 regression affecting Vulkan present modes
Before the update, MESA_VK_WSI_PRESENT_MODE worked globally and DXVK/Proton games respected FIFO/IMMEDIATE/MAILBOX changes on the fly.
After updating Mesa/Vulkan, DXVK/Proton swapchains fall into VK_PRESENT_MODE_SHARED_DEMAND_REFRESH_KHR behavior, ignoring the override.
No matter what or how it is override it ignores the variable completely.
Native Vulkan apps (vkcube) still honor FIFO, so the regression only affects the DXVK/vkd3d path.
X11 and Wayland both affected. No Proton/DXVK changes.
Regression window: Mesa 26.0.5 → 26.0.6.
Did anyone else found their games behave strange since May update ? (Not that is strange or something weird but Vsync is not honored at all now and feels sluggish a bit)

Is the ThinkPad P52's Quadro P2000 any good for gaming on Linux?
I'm thinking about buying a ThinkPad P52 for gaming and wondering if the Quadro P2000 is any good for gaming on Linux. I know Quadro cards are meant for workstation use, but has anyone had experience running games on one?
