Allow me to present Effulgence RPG: a turn-based RPG built entirely out of text symbols in 3D (runs flawlessly on Steam Deck!)
Almost 50% performances compared to windows
Hello,
For some time now I have been trying to make the move for my dedicated tv gaming PC.
I tried a few distros (Ubuntu, Bazzite, Fedora) with KDE/Plasma or Gnome and two different GPUs (RTX 4090 and AI PRO R9700) with the exact same result, up-to 50% less FPS, still at least 30% slower in most games.
I am pretty sure I am facing a weird issue somewhere seing how many see a very small loss or even a gain sometimes.
The most important game for me is Cyberpunk 2077, I tried with a few tricks (latest Proton-GE) but it is unplayable even thought it is working fine for many others.
I run a 13600KF on a MSI Z690 PRO-A Wifi DDR5, connected to a LG G4.
If someone have an idea, it would be great !

Assetto Corsa CSP won’t work
I’m very new to Linux and wanted to play modded AC. I installed Content Manager and then Custom Shaders Patch v0.2.11. I’ve tried other versions, and the same error pops up. I installed dwrite, and everything else is working fine other than this.

No Mans Sky sticking at world load/star map
Hi all. Since the latest expedition my game doesn't load into the world. It's stuck at the star traveling screen I assume is like a loading screen. Typically it wouldn't take long to get going but now it seems stuck.
If I exit the game and try again I get past the NMS logo then a window error suggesting I scan the game files. When scanned they report positive and no other files are replaced. If I reboot and try I'm back to square one.
I'm using steam proton to play, AMD graphics, SSD storage, 32GB RAM, I5 16 core Intel CPU. Also on Endeavor OS.
I've tried other proton versions, seems like a bug needing patching or the servers are chocka-block? Worked beatiful a couple of weeks or so ago but now dead.
Any thoughts?

DS4 Gamepad driver with Rumble: Challenge Impossible.
I'm on linux mint and I have a generic DS4 Gamepad which works perfectly with Steam. But outside Steam, it doesn't function, unless I use xboxdrv. Problem is, for some reason, the rumble feature doesn't work with xboxdrv, even if I add the line: --force-feedback
So I tried using SC-controller, but the app doesn't even detect my gamepad. After some research, I came to the conclusion that the problem is the product ID of the gamepad, which is "05c4". SC-controller is expecting "09cc", which is the product ID of slightly more recent DS4 gamepads.
So my question is, does anyone know any other driver that works with an old DS4 controller and has Rumble? Or is there a way to spoof the ID of the gamepad (possibly with a udev rule) so SC-controller detects it? Thanks.

Rockstar launcher linux mint
So I’ve got this old Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2MV that I put Linux Mint on. I installed the Rockstar Games Launcher through Lutris because I wanted to try running GTA V on it.
The install went fine, but when I try to open the launcher afterwards, I just get an authentication error and it won’t let me in. I double-checked my login, even reinstalled the launcher, but it still gives the same error.
Anyone know if there’s a fix for this or if the Rockstar Launcher just doesn’t play nice with Linux?

CS2 & Deadlock - Unable to reach/connect to servers
I am having problems connecting to CS2 and deadlock servers to play online. I believe the issue is the same for both games. I only have this problem with CS2 and deadlock not any other online/multiplayer games. Have not installed and tried other valve games like TF2 and dota2 to see if the same problem occurs.
I was using EndeavourOS and was having this problem. I read the arch wiki and tried setting up DNS and NetworkMananger. Also tried reinstalling the game, verify game files and other things recommended by other posts with similar problems.
To try and solve the problem by swapping distro I swapped to CachyOS and it just worked. I was able to connect and play both CS2 and Deadlock for 1-2 days before the same error appeared again and now I am back to square one.
There is some kind of problem with my PC and valve servers to communicate, that I am unable to understand or solve. Why I am asking for help here if someone knows the problem to this please share!
Note: When I change my MTU to 1500 bytes in my internet settings I get a different error in CS2:
"Failed to reach any official servers. All attempts to ping any relay in the worldwide network via UDP have failed. This could be caused by firewall or MTU."

Stormworks not using my Graphics card.
As the title suggests Stormworks is not using my discrete GPU it seems to be using on board graphic. This is a new issue as I haven't played the game in a while. It was running on my GPU previously (the unmistakable coil whine of my 7800xt lets me know)
Any idea how I'd go about fixing this? Is it a linux issue or a Stormworks one?

Genshin Impact shop not working
Hi! I play Genshin via Epic on Heroic. While trying to buy the battle pass or the welkin moon (crystals don't work either) the method payment window doesn't pop up. The loading pop up shows for a second and then it just says Payment failed, without letting me do anything. I don't know much about tech at all nor how to fix it, so I'm asking for help. The other thing that I noticed is that the community tab on the menu doesn't load either. It used all to work back on windows, so how do I do it so it'll work on Linux (mint) too?
