Vapor - A Cyberpunk 2077 CLI mod manager for Linux
Hello all! A couple days ago I started getting into modding Cyberpunk on my computer. I have a Steam Deck that I also have modded, but I started modding that before developing Vapor, and I realized pretty quickly that there really is no Linuxy mod manager for Cyberpunk, so I thought I'd make my own!
It's pretty bare bones for now, and I will be adding more features in the future!

Weird graphical glitch on Fall of Avalon
I'm experiencing MASSIVE jagged edges and very un-smooth color grading. Fall of Avalon is the only game it happens on.
This only happens with lighting, textures are just fine and the effect is even more pronounced on areas with fog. Is this a common issue with Unity made games on linux, or is this a unique situation?

My first ever gaming PC is Linux
After 2 months of my first-time install of Nobara, I can finally say I KNOW linux. Lutris, for example, is great for uniting different sources, such as Steam and the "alternative" sources (you know what I mean with that). And the best part, it actually isn't that hard to learn. I've spent only two days after to first bootup to start playing and install each game I've dreamed of. So, behold, my Lutris library 😁.

I'm seeking help with an issue I'm facing while trying to run Mortal Kombat 11 on my Fedora system.
The Problem: When I launch the game via Steam using Proton-GE, the game window opens but is completely transparent. I can hear the game's audio and menu sounds, which indicates it's running in the background, but nothing is rendered visually. Occasionally, after several launch attempts, the game's custom cursor will appear on screen, but the rest of the window remains transparent.
System & Hardware:

- dGPU: NVIDIA

A little psx style mystery game I made on Linux! Need help marketing!
Stack smashing error when launching Source games (TF2, CS2)
Hey everyone,
A while ago I made a post about my NVidia card not supporting Vulkan. This is resolved with my new (amazing) AMD 580. Other games, like Minecraft and Terraria, run great.
However, when I try to load Team Fortress 2 or CS2, it says "running..." in Steam before quitting without having opened a new window. I get Stack Smashing errors in terminal. Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve that on my OS/with my specs? TF2 used to run (albeit very shitty) on my GTX570 with legacy drivers. CS2 gave a black screen with a DirectX11 error. Conventional solutions I have read about online like verifying files, re-installing, using launch arguments and using different versions of Proton did not work.
If more details are required I am happy to provide.

Windows 11 Vs Linux Gaming
So I've done a lot of work on my desktop PC... I started with a pre-built G10CE (don't ever buy) it was a good price vs the cost of parts. So it came with a i5 11400F, 16GB 3200Mhz JEDEC ram, 512gb WD SN530, RTX 3060 12gb card.... in the past few months I replaced the ram with 32gb xpg had to get a modded bios to allow xmp, replaced the case with something with actual cooling, upgraded the 500w PSU to a 650w, got rid of the 3060 and got a 6700 non xt 10gb card, SNV3 Kingston SSD, New CPU cooler.Anyways I have been back and forth between CachyOS (arch based linux) and Bazzite (Fedora based linux) for several months before I switched to an AMD GPU. I figured I would take it upon myself to do a Windows 11 vs Bazzite (I did it cause it's one of the easiest linux OS's for the average person to install and use) for gaming. Here is the outcome, I did a video on it as well but this is the bargraphs with the outcome.

tired of windows but don't know if i should switch to linux
I have windows and absolutely hate it. I want to switch to linux but my main concern is online gaming. 90% of the games I play are online, so I would hate to switch just for devs to not have anticheat work on linux. is there any solution to this or am I just locked into windows until something changes?

New to Linux, mh wilds REframework and reshade???
I am currently two weeks into Linux, I am using bazzite (I do have questions and concerns for bazzite but I'll ask another time) but overall all I cared about was to try losses scaling (which building it was my first time ever was frustrating but fun) and play mh wilds after my SSD died but that the problem. I was running windows so mods and Reshade and REframework just work but for Linux? I haven't been able to find anything to help me get mods or especially Reshade cause all I want is fake HDR and from REframework the aspect ratio unlock so when I stream on to my phone it's full screen. Just like in the picture it's the full screen of my foldable phone and that's what I hope to achieve, if I have to go to to terminal and input some stuff, sure I'll do it but I'm honestly at a lost and any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you for taking your time to read my post 🙏

Changing VRR based on Gamemode status
As the title suggests, I'm just sharing a script I use on a daily basis.
It monitors if Feral Gamemode is running, if it is then it enabled VRR on all monitors.
If Feral Gamemode is not running, it disabled VRR on all monitors.
I use this because the KDE Plasma 6 "Automatic" solution just didn't work well in my case
This relied on games in steam, or whatever, using gamemoderun.

Wasn't there a Linux native port or successor to SMBX2?
For those who dont know, SMBX2 (Super Mario Bros X2) is like Mario Maker before Mario Maker existed where you can make your own Mario worlds and levels. I used to play it all the time when I was in middle school, and I remember a few months ago I found that someone made a successor to it that was written in C++ (the original was written in MS Visual Basic, I think), which made it natively linux compatible, but it had an entirely different name to separate itself from the original SMBX.
Does that ring a bell to anyone???

Looking for some good comp fps games
I have a lot of experience in Linux and decided to fully drop windows a few weeks back. I use arch now and have no complaints. Almost every game I play runs flawlessly, if not better, but I do miss some of the FPS games I loved to play (battlefield, COD, etc). Anyone know any newer shooters that work/are fun to play? I quit the finals lol and dont really care for bloodstrike anymore; just curious of my options

I’m trying to play Rec Room through Proton Experimental (by default) but the game tends to crash a lot whenever something heavy happens… like loading an account or switching rooms.

Steering wheel steers alone #Raceroom
Hey guys, I have a problem with Raceroom. As soon as I get on the track, the steering wheel automatically steers to the right all the way. In other games like AMS2, ACC, and AC EVO, everything works as expected. The problem only affects Raceroom. Even if I turn the FFB all the way down, nothing changes. I'm on Pop OS and use a Thrustmaster T248. Thanks in advance for your attention. Regards

Cyberpunk refuses to run on dGPU
Hello community.
I'm on an optimus laptop (System76 Adder) with a 13900hx cpu and 4060-mobile gpu. I am running Fedora 42, on Gnome, Wayland.
When I attempt to launch Cyberpunk 2077 from steam, it ardently refuses to run on my dGPU and falls back to my iGPU. I have tried putting the __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 environment variable in the launch options with no change. I have tried reinstalling with no change. I have tried rebooting with no change. My drivers are properly installed following the documentation, and literally every other game I've tested in steam is running properly on the dGPU. nvidia-smi confirms that Cyberpunk is not running on my 4060. I have tried with proton experimental, the current proton stable, and multiple old proton versions to no avail.
I'm out of troubleshooting steps. Hoping someone can suggest next steps to me so I can get this fixed and get back to Night City.
