WinPodX: bugfix version v0.12.1 released

WinPodX, a tool for running Windows applications as native Linux windows, has been released in version v0.12.1.

The update directly follows v0.12.0 and fixes packaging issues in DEB and OBS Fedora packages (ZIP metadata of the pinned rdprrap archive). Application code is unchanged, and there are no new features.

Packaging

  • Packaging normalizers rewrote the pinned rdprrap ZIP metadata in 0.12.0 DEBs and OBS Fedora RPMs. The original ZIP bytes and SHA256 verification are preserved without relaxing security checks.
  • OBS SPEC synchronized with repository resources including menu icons and AppStream data.
  • SUSE packages now require hicolor-icon-theme for proper icon-directory support.
  • Automatic main branch tracking retained; tag-triggered rebuilds use existing OBS_TOKEN.

Notes

  • Application code and normal Windows-app/data payloads are unchanged.
  • No new features or Windows usage rights added.
  • Affected users on 0.12.0 DEB and OBS Fedora should upgrade when available.
  • Installing corrected host packages does not repair already-provisioned guests.
  • Previous 0.12.0 tags and assets remain available.
