Wine: development release 11.21 released

Wine, the compatibility layer for running Windows applications on Linux, has been released in the development version 11.21.

This release brings DES/3DES encryption in bcrypt, NCryptDecrypt and ECDSA support in ncrypt, compressed waves in dmusic, and groundwork for remote d3dkmt swapchains in win32u. Overall, the release includes around 260 changes compared to version 11.20.

Here is a selection of changes from the commit log:

  • win32u/opengl32: OpenGL 3.1 contexts are always created using the compatibility profile, GL_MESA_map_buffer_client_pointer is supported.
  • win32u: First swapchain objects, mutexes and sync objects for remote d3dkmt swapchains used for remote GL presentation.
  • bcrypt/ncrypt: DES/3DES encryption, NCryptDecrypt(), ECDSA P256/P384/P521 and NCRYPT_NO_PADDING_FLAG / NCRYPT_PAD_OAEP_FLAG.
  • crypt32: IP address SANs are matched in the SSL hostname check, authenticated attribute order is preserved.
  • dmusic/dmime: Support for compressed waves and DX8 wave item chunks.
  • ntdll: The 64-bit top-down area is reserved after the main exe is loaded, MAP_FIXED_NOREPLACE is always used on Linux.
  • ntdll/advapi32: NtCreateToken() supports owner, primary group and more privilege names.
  • wbemprox: More Win32_Service properties and ChangeStartMode().
