OpenBVE: train simulator released in versions 1.14.1.1 and 1.14.1.2

OpenBVE, a free and open source train driving simulator, has been released in version 1.14.1.1 - shortly after, version 1.14.1.2 followed with an important Linux bugfix.

Version 1.14.1.1 brings a realtime sun and shadow preview in the viewers and improved shadow smoothing options (both by Aditiya Afrizal). Version 1.14.1.2 fixes MP3 decoding on Linux, which was not working.

Changes in version 1.14.1.1:

  • New: Realtime sun / shadow preview in viewers (Aditiya Afrizal).
  • New: Improved shadow smoothing options (Aditiya Afrizal).
  • New: Add DecelerationMotor and CarMass to animated instructions.
  • New: MSTS: Add accelerometer handling to CVF instructions.
  • Change: Car frontal area is now calculated using a 0.65 multiplier for vehicles without specified dimensions.
  • Fix: Time acceleration issues when no train plugin is loaded.
  • Fix: Broken touch controls caused by the GL4 migration.
  • Fix: Copy-paste error in custom power beacons.

Changes in version 1.14.1.2:

  • Fix: MP3 decoding not working on Linux.
