The GitHub Decky Plugins Updater has been released in version 1.9.1.
The Decky plugin for the Steam Deck monitors GitHub repositories and updates other Decky plugins automatically or after asking for approval.
The main change is that the updater now updates itself: its own repository no longer has to be added to the list manually, and newer versions are installed automatically even in “Ask before installing” mode.
Changelog – Version 1.9.1
- The updater checks its own GitHub repository shortly after startup and during regular update checks. You no longer need to add it to the followed repositories.
- A newer updater version installs automatically even in “Ask before installing” mode. Approvals for other plugins remain unchanged; the Steam UI restart waits until those decisions are complete.
- Numeric release tags such as 191 are handled using the version in the ZIP filename. This also allows an interrupted self-update to be recognized correctly.
- Startup checks within five minutes are throttled. Plugin identity checks, version comparison, and backup of the previous installation remain in place.
