Eyeball It - No Rulers Allowed: estimation game released for Linux

Eyeball It: No Rulers Allowed is now available with native Linux support on Steam.

The game asks you to set the heights of two objects in the right proportion by eye alone - no ruler, grid or numbers. It costs €2.09, with a 40% launch discount (€1.25).

Modes include Endless, a Daily mode with a worldwide leaderboard and a Collection of over 500 silhouettes with sources and facts.

Two things stand side by side on a cream sheet, drawn at exactly the same height. That’s the lie. Drag one until the proportion looks right to you, then confirm.

The silhouette slides out to its real height. The gap is almost always a surprise.

NO RULERS ALLOWED

No grid. No ground line. No shadow. Not a single number on the sheet until you’ve committed. Both shapes are printed in the same color, because a warmer one would read as closer, and in this game closer is the answer. The camera pulls back as things grow, and never tells you how far it still has to go.

TIME IS THE SCORE

Missing by a factor of two costs the same whether it’s 2 against 4 or 5,000 against 10,000, and it costs the same in both directions. The bill lands while the silhouette is still moving, so the clock tells you how badly you missed a moment before you can read the answer. When the timer hits zero, the run is over.

THE SAME DAY FOR EVERYONE

DAILY deals every player the same set of pairs, worldwide, with one attempt. Everyone answers the same questions, so what separates you is the time you had left. The leaderboard has a second column, showing how many you actually got right, because a fast time with nothing guessed isn’t a good day.

500+ UNIQUE THINGS, AND HOW BIG THEY REALLY ARE

A capybara, a fire hydrant, a Routemaster, the Saturn V, Darth Vader, a LEGO minifigure, and the library keeps growing. Every height is a published figure, with its source printed under it on the reveal. Everything you meet goes onto a shelf in your collection, along with one fact. The collection never shows a height, though: each object comes back later as half of a pair, and a shelf of heights would be a cheat sheet left lying next to the board.

WHAT’S INSIDE

ENDLESS: play until the clock runs out.

DAILY: the same set for everyone, one attempt, its own leaderboard.

COLLECTION: 500+ unique silhouettes on eight shelves, with sources and facts, and new ones added regularly.

15 achievements, plus Steam leaderboards for Daily and Endless.

Available in English and Ukrainian.

No ads, no purchases, no second currency. One sheet, two shapes, and a number you’ll get wrong.
