The new “Cost of Hope” expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on Steam.
The expansion sends players on a new, non-linear expedition into the Zone with plenty of new story content and characters. Previously inaccessible locations like the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant can now be explored, while choices between rival factions shape the outcome of the story.
Learn the Cost of Hope — head out on a new expedition into the Zone in this massive, nonlinear expansion.
“Cost of Hope” is also available DRM-free on GOG and requires the base game.
Alongside it, the major Update 2.0 “Back to the Zone” has been released and is available on both platforms (Steam and GOG). It brings an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, an overhauled A-Life system, new weapons and scopes, and over 500 bug fixes.
Back to the Zone — Update 2.0 is our biggest overhaul to how the Zone looks, feels, and lives since launch. The technical work here runs deeper than usual — including a significant engine upgrade — and alongside it, we’ve packed in features stalkers have been asking for, over 500 bug fixes, and a few things we’ve been wanting to show you for a while.
