OpenLoco: version v26.08 released

OpenLoco has been released in version v26.08.

OpenLoco is an open-source reimplementation of “Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion”, bringing the classic transport economy game to modern systems and platforms.

New additions include signal placement and removal at a fixed step distance along a track block, plus an option to align toolbar buttons horizontally centered. The keyboard shortcuts window has been reorganized into groups and made resizable. 16 bugs were fixed overall, including scrollbar rendering problems, landscape generation issues, and Linux file path handling for paths containing spaces.

Features:

  • Added signal placement and removal at fixed step distance along a track block
  • Option to align toolbar buttons horizontally centered (disabled by default)
  • OpenGraphics replacement for train station 2 with vehicle balance adjustments

Changes:

  • Keyboard shortcuts window reorganized into groups and made resizable
  • Toolbar buttons can now open on click instead of hover
  • macOS app icon updated to Liquid Glass style

Bug Fixes: The release addressed 16 issues including scrollbar rendering problems, terraform tool adjustments, landscape generation settings, news message viewport positioning, UI invalidation during company switching, news ticker line height correction, viewport panning during tutorials, bridge rendering over tall structures, Linux file path handling with spaces, jukebox playlist initialization, and land type application in random landscapes.

Known Issues: Multiplayer functionality remains unavailable.
