Nearcade: version 3.0.5 released

Nearcade has been released in version 3.0.5.

Nearcade is a remote arcade gaming platform that lets players stream and play games together over the internet - as a desktop app (Electron) and an Android app.

This update brings P2P swarm discovery, a new friends system with live presence, and several improvements to latency, input, and stability.

  • Core: Background P2P swarm discovery, SCTP input prioritization, WebCodecs primary pipeline.
  • Performance: GPU-direct DRM/KMS capture, WebGL zero-copy uploads, aggressive frame queuing.
  • Input: True circular deadzones, historical UDP redundancy, confidence decay, tournament kill-switch.
  • Latency: Dynamic host delay equalization (Linux + Windows), reworked analog math.
  • Friends: Full friends system with live presence, private P2P invites, one-click rejoin.
  • UI: WebGL upscaling shaders, custom keybinds, Nord theme, voice overlay, dark mode toggle.
  • Arcade: Report system, auto-warning/delist, moderator whitelist API, MIN_ARCADE_VERSION gate.
  • Stability: Uncaught-exception crash banner, duplicate tunnel guard, guarded ws handlers.
