Amethyst Mod Manager: version 2.3.0 released

Amethyst Mod Manager has been released in version 2.3.0.

Amethyst Mod Manager is a Linux-native mod manager in the style of Mod Organizer 2, supporting over 80 games - including Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, the Fallout series and Starfield.

The highlight of the new version is a third deploy method using a virtual file system (VFS), alongside the classic deployment into the game folder. It also adds support for Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign, plus a NPC viewer wizard for Skyrim SE and Fallout 4.

VFS Deploy:

  • Added a third deploy option to deploy mods into a Virtual file system instead of the game folder. Not every game has this option but most do.
  • The game must be run via the manager however the games can still be run via their launcher with the provided command

Game Support:

  • Added Elden Ring
  • Added Elden Ring Nightreign

Additions:

  • Added an option to the profile export code menu to upload it as a shareable link. The import code menu also accepts the link.
  • Added an option to upload logs as a sharable link
  • Added a Filter conflicts right click option for mods with conflicts
  • Added a Npc viewer wizard for Skyrim SE and Fallout 4
  • Added a cancel button for download progress
  • Added a Fallout 4 downgrade wizard
  • Added 2 new themes

Changes:

  • System info is now shown in the settings menu and at the top of the log
  • Theme selection and theme-editor previews now apply live without restarting the application
  • The proton dropdown is now hidden if a game is Linux native or the prefix is not configured
  • Moved the download and extraction bars to the notification menu
  • Games added as non steam games are now detected
  • The settings menu now opens as a modal instead of a tab
  • Pressing view on a mod in the Nexus browser will now show the mods description page within the manager
  • Mouse 4 and 5 can be used to move between pages in the nexus, thunderstore and collections browser
  • OpenMW now deploys to the profile folder and adds an extra Data location to the openmw.cfg

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed Thunderstore BepInEx plugins being deployed into legacy package paths that loaders may delete at startup
  • Fixed an issue where folder names may not merge/normalise in Ue5 games
  • Fixed an issue where esm flagged plugins could be moved to places where they shouldn’t be
  • Fixed the elsifer wizard downloading the wrong release file
