Gearlever, a tool for managing AppImage files on Linux, has been released in version 4.6.0.
The tool organizes and manages AppImages, generates desktop entries and app metadata, and can either update apps in-place or keep multiple versions side-by-side. The easiest way to install Gearlever is as a Flatpak via Flathub.
The new version adds machine-readable output for the command line, allowing installed AppImages and available updates to be queried in a structured way - useful for integration with GNOME Software, among other things. New translations are also included.
