Poor and unstable performance in CS 2
Hey, I recently installed Counter-Strike 2 on my Linux system, and I'm struggling with performance issues. My PC is very CPU-limited (i5-8400 and RX 6700 XT, 16GB RAM), but I was able to get a stable 200/250 FPS on Windows (depending on amount of players rendered).
However, now I'm unable to achieve any stable framerate; the FPS keeps fluctuating. For a few seconds, I'm getting around ~120 FPS, and then it dips to like 23. And the frametime is, most of them time, all over the place.
Is there any fix for this game, or does it just not perform well on Linux? I'm using Linux Arch (btw), KDE Plasma 6.0.3, X11, 'lib32-vulkan-radeon' vulkan driver."

New Cloud Gaming Service in the works with Steam Library support
Idk if this is the right sub for this but a new cloud gaming service is in the works right now with the name "Highscore". They do claim that you can play virtually any Steam game on any Device (also Linux) with up to 4k + 120 FPS (up to 240 FPS for select games). Online Local Coop is also a feature. I could list all of the features here but you can just check it out by yourselfs if you are interested in cloud gaming stuff: https://highscore.com?ref=rxok3kxh (just so you know, this is a referral link and if you don't want to use that, just use https://highscore.com ). I think it looks quite promising but who knows if this isn't just a scam or something.

Picom freezes when playing games.
I'm currently on BSPWM using picom as my compositor and I've noticed that ingame it seems to struggle. At random times, my monitor freezes for 2-5 ish seconds. I believe that it is only my monitor and not the games themselves freezing, as I'm still able to interact with things while the game appears frozen on my monitor. I'm using the default configuration, apart from changing the blur method to "dual_kawase" and adjusting the strengths with glx backend.
I have yet to experience any similar experiences when not using a compositor in games.
Specs:NVIDIA RTX 2060
AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
32GB 5600Mhz ram
picom --version: v10

GTAV on Heroic Games Launcher doesn't work
Hi, I have Grand Theft Auto V on my Epic Games account and I've already managed to install it through Lutris, it's running nice and smooth, but I have one small issue that is completely annoying me. Self Radio stops working after a few songs have played. I thought I could maybe fix that by switching to Heroic Games Launcher since I'm already familiar with it by playing other games. I've installed GTA with no hassle but Rockstar Launcher can't find the game when I try and search for it in the options. GTA is installed on another drive, and the Heroic GTA prefix is on my root drive. I thought I could maybe make a symbolic link in the prefix but that did not work. When I close Rockstar and try to run GTA again, Rockstar tells me that it can't connect to Rockstar online services. I'm on Gentoo and using Proton GE 9.2. Is there a way to fix this issue or perhaps is there another fix to get the self radio working?

Freelancer HD on Nobara
I am so happy. I just discovered I can play Freelancer with HD mod for free and I got it working on Nobara 39. It is still pretty janky being it was a game from 2003 but I love this game.
I just can't begin to describe how excited I am to play some freelancer again after all this time.
That is all

How to build 32bit version of OBS VKCapture plugin
When I used Arch Linux before, I could use AUR to get both 64 and 32bit versions easily. Now I'm on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and I have to manually compile it. I compiled VKCapture following the instructions, but it didn't install 32bit version of the plugin. I went to AUR to compare PKGBuild files, they are both the same for 32bit and 64bit. Am I maybe doing something wrong? If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Wine vs QEMU W10/W11, which is better for gaming?
Pound for pound, FPS for FPS, assuming ideal optimization and configuration alongside high-end hardware, which is better? I have had great experiences with both, but I am torn on whether I should run games using Wine or just boot up a QEMU running W10 and run them there. They both seem to be as stable and provide as much FPS as one another. Everybody has their opinions, but is there an objectively better option?

Overwatch 2 and Linux: random crashes
Anyone else playing OW2 on Linux has noticed issues recently?
The game has been running great but about a month ago or so it started to crash randomly. Sometimes it's just the game crashing, sometimes it crashes along with Steam. I experienced other bugs too, such as the camera staying looking up and my mouse sense getting insanely high, but that seems to be fixed now.
I thought it was my PC being not good (it is not good and I should get a new GPU), but other games, such as Apex Legends, Anno 1800 or Skyrim run fine. I also tried playing OW2 on Windows and, besides the usual performance issues that I do not get on Linux, the game didn't crash once. I used mangohud to check the loads and, while the CPU load is very low, the GPU load stays over 90% all the time between 70-79ºC.
My specs are in pics and I use Proton GE 9.2, running from Steam.

How do I install GTA San Andreas in Lutris or Steam?
I have been trying to install GTA San Andreas for the past hour or so.
I tried doing it in Lutris first with manually installing it later trying to install it via a script I found in Lutris's website. Both did install it but the game does not open, when I click play, it says loading on the play button then returns back to play, I double checked whether I have the correct .exe selected to run and surely I did.
Later I tried adding the installation as a non-steam game in steam and try to run it with proton, but no avail, it does the same thing, even with Proton enabled and I tried Proton Experimental till Proton 4.x.x. The game did not run. :(
My system's specifications if someone needs them are-
CPU- Intel Core i7 9750H
GPU- Intel UHD630/Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650
RAM- 16GB Crucial something
SSD- 512GB Micron NVME SSD
OS- Arch Linux, DE- KDE, Nvidia Drivers- Proprietary 500 something (Latest).
Other games work via Proton, such as BeamNG.drive and Metro Last Light.
Also emulators work, RPCS3 and PCSX2 both work flawlessly.
Native games such as Minecraft works too.
All use the dedicated GTX1650, so I don't think there is something wrong with the drivers.

Almost every game crashes on newly built PC
GPU: ASUS TUF RX 7900XTX
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
RAM: Cosair Vengance 2x16GB 6000MHz DDR5 Ram
Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850 W
OS: Linux Mint
Display Resolution: 3440 x 1440
So, basically the title. I tried following games on Steam: BattleBit Remastered, Splitgate, DayZ, Rocket League, AOE II, Among Us. The latter two are running.
It's my first Linux experience and I'm quite a noob when it comes to fixing stuff on that system. But I tried reinstalling, and running other versions of proton.
Any insight would be appreciated.
