I'm trying to play marvels Spider-Man using dualsense however when ever I press a button (X, O)

game does nothing but switch the PS icons to the Xbox icons (A, B) I tried disabling and enabling steam input but neither fixed the issue.

Steam test device shows that it gets all the inputs correct

I was asking myself, if RADF_PERFTEST=gpl is already default in Mesa 24? Are the precompiled shaders in steam still necessary or can they be disabled? I think I heard from that, but not sure anymore and can't find the information myself. Has anyone of you an idea?

My GPU does for sure because i play TF2 as well however CS gives me that error, i have installed Vulkan every way possible but it refuses to work for some reason. Can anyone help me with this?

I just love game glitches. This happens pretty regular during cut scenes after playing for about 45 minutes to an hour. Objects on the face or just the face in general will appear distorted on one random character. There's also a bug that affects the npcs during fight/gun scenes where they just stand there all stiff. This causes me to restart the mission so they'll participate. idk if it has to do with the game, my pc, or linux but I find it kinda funny.

There's also an issue with DLCs not loading after connecting the game to an account on Steam. Not sure why. I have the game on GoG too and the dlcs load there.

Hello, I´'ve just updated my graphics card to a 6800XT and I was playing around trying ray tracing, but I noticed often it gives me grainy textures. On Ratchet & Clank and Doom Eternal from Steam I have no grains, while running geexlab benchmark and minecraft rtx shaders I have these grains. What can it be?

At last! Users from Ubuntu 24.04 onwards that's scheduled to release on April 25th should hopefully see a smoother Linux gaming experience.

I've been searching how to make Spider Solitaire from Win7 work on Linux for a good part of a decade probably. I've honed my programming skills so I can actually make it one day because 100% of all Linux card games look like absolute sh_t compared to the Windoes games. This is not up to debate and literally any Linux card game you have the urge to recommend, is worse. You are wrong and looking through rose-tinted glasses. I don't want a win95 card game, I want a win7 one.😤

As with most of people who care about this game, the goal is to convert my parents to Linux, and this is the only thing keeping them.

So it has to work adequately well.

I thought I had an .msi file, and the problem was that wine hates those files and doesn't care about them running on linux, but apparently there is some msiexec command for wine that installs those files.

HOWEVER, when I downloaded some installer from here: https://winaero.com/get-windows-7-games-for-windows-10/

I noticed that the installer is .exe

In linux, however, you can just click on the .exe file and see the files that are inside since it is itself a kind of archive.

There, you can find all the games, and if you go to the game folder and run the game .exe, the game will actually fricking run.

Like omg. This is a big deal.

However, there are some problems:

• can't see letters on menus like when you select the difficulty or want to quit
• the score in the bottom right displays some weird temporary object names or something
• there is no menu on top for New Game.. etc

I think that these problems may be stemming from the game I ran not being actually "installed" in wine, but ran rawdog from a random file.

Wine has always been a mystery to me, but I know that you can open it and get some kind of rudimetnary windows environment, so if we can run the exe and "install" the game suite, or literally copy-paste the files into the correct place, maybe the game will start working because it would maybe gain access to the windows graphics systems and the save-locations and the timers and whatnot.

We can do this guys! As it is now, some of our parents would already be satisfied, despite not being fully functional. My cares about scores, so that's I thing I would like to make work. Also he likes to cheat and undo moves, and start new games from the ones he doesn't like.

Has anyone been finding success using Fossilize? I have been trying to direct the path of FOSSILIZE_DUMP_PATH but it seems that the .foz file will get created under the default steam shader cache directory regardless of what I do.

I have been trying to get arch Linux with gamescope working like a steam deck on my rog ally. I have gamescope-session-steam-git installed. Using sddm I can select auto log in to steamos on boot, however the return to desktop just closes steam and reopens it, also return to game mode on desktop is missing, l have searched for files needed but am unsure what's missing. I just it's some commands but don't know

Hello!
So... I want to share an easy trick I just did to stop my x360 controllers from turning off with my rechargeable batteries since they are a little lower and that gap inside the cover doesn't allow the controller to turn on or just keeps turning off alone if you touch the battery cover.

Here is what I did:
I used a washer with copper tape (you can use aluminium tape too) stucked to it. On the part that is down, I placed a piece of the copper tape folded so that I had both adhesive sides and the washer could be glued to the contact terminal of the cover.
After this you can shake it like a polaroid picture.

That's it.
